BRAZIL, Rio, gold 6400 reis, José I, 1753-R, NGC UNC details / saltwater damage (Shipwreck Blue Label), ex-Spink. LMB-421; KM-172.2; Fr-65. 14.43 grams. Rich gold color, matte surfaces all over (no luster) but fully detailed, a couple small die-cracks to rims, minor marks only. With original (generic) certificate from the Spink (London) auction of September 2000. Recovered from: “Clive of India Treasure,” sunk ca. 1755 in the Indian Ocean
